William Frederick Durand papers, 1876-1979.

Papers include correspondence, manuscripts, typescripts, research notes, reports, reprints, clippings, photographs, and memorabilia pertaining to his research in engineering and aeronautics and professional matters; a copy of his published autobiography; and biographical and scientific writings by others relating to Durand. Some items pertain to marine engineering and hydraulics. There are also photographs of damage to Stanford buildings from the 1906 earthquake. Additional papers added in 2010 consist of two notebooks of algebra and geometry problems and exams, 1876-78.
